Dean & Elizabeth are newly retired from being a church minister and nurse respectively. Dean loves fly fishing and Elizabeth loves climbing mountains and so try to find time to do both together! They have 3 grown children in their 20’s who are all Christians; one a maths teacher, one a nurse and one training to be a priest. We usually holiday in the Scottish Highlands and are used to inclement weather (not like Greece!).

Dean is originally a farmer from USA and Elizabeth from Aberdeen in Scotland, however they met in South Sudan serving with a Christian organisation in a war zone…very romantic! Dean has lived longer in Scotland than in the USA now and was a civil engineer before becoming a minister. Elizabeth has been a trained counsellor since 2011 working part time on a voluntary basis to provide a service free at the point of need.

They love sunshine, marmite, growing vegetables and salted cashew nuts! They have been attending City on the Hill Church in Edinburgh since retiring. https://www.cityonahill.org.uk/
