Be still and know that I am God
Be still and know that I am
Be still and know
Reflecting on this verse from Psalm 46v10 brings me a great sense of peace - something that I often find missing in the stresses and activities of every day life!
In the Old Testament, God gives a wonderful instruction to the Levites: “They were to stand every morning to thank and praise the Lord. They were to do the same in the evening.”1 Chronicles 23:30
What if the first and last words of your day belonged to God instead of your inbox!? I find that a holiday, as a break from everyday life, can offer a wonderful opportunity to step-back and refresh my daily walk with God. Away from home, I have the time to be still and to listen to Him, as well as the space to re-commit to our loving Father with a renewed perspective and the great encouragement of others.
In fact, at Richmond, we believe that a time away of fun and relaxation offers the perfect space to grow deeper with our awesome God in the setting of His beautiful creation! Our times of ministry throughout the holiday are fashioned to give you time to just ‘be still and know’.
Whether that is being still during times of reflection in the morning surrounded by the mountains or watching the waves. Whether that be reaffirming God and His majesty whilst singing around the campfire on the beach or outside the chalet. Or whether it be listening and engaging with the Bible-led talks with the helpful guidance of our ministry team.
We hope you can join us. Have a look to see the Ministry Leaders that we have coming out to resort this summer:
